Cort HBS 2 pickups replacement.

My first guitar is Cort HBS from 2003. It still has stock pickups. After buying new amp and making 2 custom guitars I finally decided to change pickups on my Cort. It has 2 piece swamp ash body with bird's eye maple neck and fretboard. Stock pickups are HSH,and I'm too lazy to make myself a new pickguard so I'll put same type of pickups. So.. I was thinking about:

Air Norton neck - I love this pickup. One of the 2 best pickups for clean sound I've ever heard.

Area ? - I don't know which one,but lot of people in RL told me that this pickups is great for middle, just to "paint" sound of neck and bridge.

Bridge ??? - I don't know which pickups I should put on bridge. I was thinking about something for rock music. Kind of AC/DC,Guns n Roses, U2,Green Day.. things like that.
I think Duncan JB would cover all this, also I like DiMarzio AT 1 a lot, some guys told me I should try DiMarzio Super Distortion. If anyone has any idea,I would appreciate if someone writes it.

Sorry for my bad english,I hope you understood me.
Tnx. Monea.

A tone zone would be awesome in swamp ash, heavy and fat, but not too muddy due to the swamp ash's bright tonal qualities. Air Norton would be sweet too. Chuck in an Area 67 perhaps for the single.

Depends how much gain you use.

Re: Cort HBS 2 pickups replacement.

I agree.........the ToneZone has gotten a bad rep as a "metal" pickup when, in truth, it's a superb all around pickup.

Like Phantom said.....it depends on how much gain your using. I can get anything from a rockabilly/ZZtop sound to all out thrash simply by adjusting my gain and guitar volume. The TZ is an EXTREMELY versatile pup.........the only thing it doesn't excel at is cleans.

The JB is another great pickup, but to me it isn't quite as open sounding as a TZ. It's a little more "mono" to the Tone Zone's "stereo" sound.

The AT1 is also a killer pup with GREAT note clarity. It would fit VERY well with the music you mentioned. The downside is that it looses a lot of that clarity and definition with (overly) high gain levels.
