Dimarzio Customer Service

So I bought a 91' RG770DXLB a couple months ago. And the pickup covers were replaced with some generic black covers.

I was going to replace the single coil cover with a simple blue cover that did not have the IBZUSAC3 stamp.. but then I thought I could just order the orginal cover directly from Dimarzio.

I went to there website and could not find it, so I called. I spoke to the receptionist and explained to her what I was looking for, she then relayed the message back to one of the "techs".. She then took my info and I really did not expect to hear back from them.

5 mins later I get a call back saying that they were able to fine one in the "Attic" and will be sending it to me FREE of charge...

I know it probably cost a couple of cents to manufacture but I was thought it was real cool for them to do that for me....

Re: Dimarzio Customer Service

What surprised me (and convinced me to buy a set of their pickups) was the speed and accuracy of their support.

They did provide helpful diagrams and answered my initial questions on wiring.

Re: Dimarzio Customer Service

Wow, interesting experience. I called them trying to get a black C3 cover and they refused to sell one to me. They said I would have to buy the entire pickup. I was trying to replace a worn out cover on one of my guitars.

Re: Dimarzio Customer Service

They've twice sent me a faulty pickup couple years ago when they released the D-Activators X and the Crunch Lab but they were quick to say that they'll send me replacements.

I've emailed Dimarzio with a few different questions over the years, they have always been very helpful!
