Dimarzio Humbuckers Series/Parallel Wiring

Hi guys,
I recently got 2 new dimarzio pups (Tone Zone / Air Norton), and i also bought a 500k Push-Pull Pot (Volume or Tone).

What i want to do is use the pot to switch between series/parallel.
Can this be done with only 1 push-pull? I havent been able to find any diagrams for it.

Oh, the guitar is an Ibanez GRG121EX 3-way level / 1 vol / 1 tone.

Cheers!

Re: Dimarzio Humbuckers Series/Parallel Wiring

Well,
I went ahead and found all the datasheets for the pots and pups, and my question got answered. NO, it can be done.

With DPDT on/on i need one for each, with DPDT on/on/on i could also add single coil, but still 1 for each.

With DPDT on/on i could do split coil for both pups.

Re: Dimarzio Humbuckers Series/Parallel Wiring

Does someone know if using PCB Terminals soldered to a Matrix Board to connect to my push/pull, volume, tone, 3way lever will introduce noise? Id like to have the ability to use a simple screw driver to rewire my pups instead of resoldering everything.

cheerS!

Re: Dimarzio Humbuckers Series/Parallel Wiring

In my experience with push/pull, you can utilise the series/parallel switch on one pickup only. So, if the tone knob for neck pickup, then use the volume knob for the bridge, or vice versa.
