EMG Cleans - 81 + 60

Hey all,

Christmas coming up, money coming in, I'm just doing a bit of research...
What are the cleans like on the EMG 81 in the bridge, and the EMG 60 in the neck? I know I like the distorted sound of these pickups but what about the cleans? Anyone got any experience?

I've only heard clips, but from what I've heard, I like the 60's cleans much better.

It will be glassy and flat. Also a little compressed. It's a fine sound but you just can't expect it to be a vintage LP or a fat strat. It will be tight, not loose and bluesy. I guess I'm more describing the feel than the sound. I mean, EMG could create a frequency response in a pickup that looks like a PAF or whatever on a graph, but their attack and decay are going to be different, as is the electrical impact on the front end of the amp. That affects the way the amp colors the sound.
