EMG wiring for SR800 Bass?

I have an older SR800 Ibanez that someone put EMG active pickups in. This is the set up. 2 Volumes and 2 tones that don't really work. If I roll off the volume on one pickup, it also controls the other. Does anyone know how I would wire it up so I could maybe blend the two pickups and have some tone controls more like the original setup? The EMGs sound great, but I'm stuck with one sound the way it's wired now.
