Fender S-1 Schematic

Hey all, I'm looking at hot rodding a strat of mine with an impressive switching combination. I'm interested in the Fender S-1 combination, but I was curious if any of you guys knew where/how to get hold of a schematic of this. Any ideas? Any other combinations for a strat you can recommend above the standard 5-way? Many thanks, Gary

Re: Fender S-1 Schematic

Hi Gary.
I don't think you can get the pot 'push switch' type thing needed for the S-1 layout.I'm not sure exactly what it does and I haven't seen any Schematics going around.
There's a site called 'Guitar Nuts.com' that has a lot of alternative wiring schematics and tone-mods for Strat-type set-ups.Most of my guitars have humbuckers and there wasn't much there for me but I noticed that there were loads of Strat mods.I found the link to that site through a site called 'Projectguitar.com' who have LOADS of wiring schematics from different pickup companies all put together on one page. Some are standard schematics but there are also ones for 'out of phase','parrallel/series','reverse polarity' and all sorts.Definitely worth checking out!
I hope you find something that's of some use to you anyway. All the Best !...............................JTM45 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
