Since my vol pot on my Js100 went kaput i'm taking the time to make Js1000 mod and adding a high pass filter... my problem is with the wiring on the coil-tap feature:
In the JS1000 wiring diagram at http://www.ibanez.com/wiring/wire.asp?y=2004&w=JS1000
the humbucker circuit is closed when the tone push/pull is up.. won't this mean that the coil-tap is ON when the switch is DOWN?? Maybe i'm not getting what the second wire on the humbucker is.. i think theres a separate set of wires for each row of magnets rights??
On the JS100, wich also features coil-tap, http://www.ibanez.com/wiring/wire.asp?y=2004&w=JS100
the wiring is inversed in the pot... instead of having wires in the up and middle position, they're in the low and mid, so i think that means the coil ta+ is ON with the switch UP, being inverse to the JS1000!!! I thought all JS
guitars had coil tap ON with the switch up, like on the js100 schematic!
Also, on my Js100, the wiring in the tone pot is more or less like on the JS1000 diagram, not as on Ibane'z own Js100 diagram.. on mine the humbucker wires are in the middle and the cap etc in on top!! But i think i'm getting full humbucker with the switch DOWN!!
I'm really confused! I can't understand why the JS100 wiring on my actual guitar is not like the ibanez wiring (whatever the year), and what set of middle/up or middle/lower soldering positions gives the coil-tap (half humbucker right?) on the guitar!
