Good source for capacitors?

Most of the stock wiring in S series guitars seems to use a 360pF capacitor on the volume. I contacted DiMarzio and they like to use a 560pF with their pickups which hasn't been easy to find if I don't want to order from China.

Any suggestions on sources?

Should I go with their recommendations or have others found a different cap works best?

Radio shack? Just go to your local one and grab a bunch of caps.

Tried that. They don't have anything close to what I need unfortunately. I ended up ordering some online and the shipping was about 6X the cost of the caps.

How exactly do you know about Radio Shack all the way down in Australia????

caps are caps are caps. Not much point in going with special ones in a guitar.

Yep, I agree. I couldn't even find what I was looking for though. Most "guitar" places don't carry one in that range. I ended up finding what I needed here:

Everything on ebay was being shipped from China and I'm just not that patient.

Ummm, the internet and people mentioning it???

Also Radio Shack gear has been sold through local electronics stores for years here in Australia.

GC usually has some on hand. At least the one I go to does. They even had some on the clearance table.

Don't pay extra for what is a few cents in an electronics store by getting them in a music shop. Check the prices. Surely there are other electronics stores other than Radio Shack in your area? Check the phone book.

Re: Good source for capacitors?

There are none. I'm in sort of an "anything engineering" vacuum here. It's even tough to find a good machine shop.
