Hey everyone, i have a RG350ZB, and it is Mahogany, and Im considering putting a Gravity Storm set on it. The mahogany from my guitar is not the most dark sounding one, but it ain't no Alder or Basswood. Right now, it has stock Ibanez Quantum pickups, and they are not the best pickups in the world, so I would like to swap them out...
What do you guys think? Is Gravity Storms on a Mahogany RG a good choice? Do you have experience

Re: Gravity Storms in a Mahogany RG???

I don't know about the wood specifically but I put a set of Gravity Storms in a JS1000 that just wasn't wowing me with the sound and it really made it sound a lot better.

Yeah, they are indeed very good pickups, but don't know if they will sound so good in a mahogany

The Dark Matter 2 pickups are specifically designed for the new Mahogany Jem 'woody' I think they're just slightly tweaked Gravity Storms though & the engraved metal pickup covers make them a lot more expensive than regular pickups.
