I recently purchased brand new Ibanez RG652AHMFX Prestige series guitar. Beautifully looking guitar.
Unfortunately, it hums in any position of the pickup switch even on a clean channel. That hum becomes awful with higher gain.
Touching strings does not do anything, but when I touch one of the metal knobs (there are two) it goes away. I tried three different amp, changed cords, tried it in a different house, used special power supply, but nothing helped so far.
I took it to Guitar Center to check grounding, they did not find anything wrong. Moreover, I tried this guitar in Guitar Center and there were no any hum.
This guitar has DiMarzio Air Norton and DeMarzio The Tone Zone pickups.
Any ideas what can that be and how to fix it?
Thank you.
Leo
