HHH 4 conductor wiring with 5 way switch.

Anybody got a 3 dimarzio humbucker wiring with 4 conductors wire to a 5 way ibanez switch with 1 volume and 1 tone?

Here's the config
1) Neck full humbucker
2) Neck and middle split humbucker
3) Middle Full humbucker
4) Bridge and middle split humbucker
5) Bridge full humbucker

Hi, here's the circuit based on a VLX91 switch (from Ibanez) you could use a Megaswitch if that's easier to get hold of.

The Output goes to the volume pot.
The earth (3 blue horizontal lines) goes to the pot casing.
The Volume and Tone circuit is available ot either DiMarzio or Seymor Duncan.

Re: HHH 4 conductor wiring with 5 way switch.

OK, That's a litle more difficult! I can give you what you want for the first three options, not the last two:
1) Neck full humbucker
2) Neck and middle split humbucker
3) Middle Full humbucker
4) Bridge and middle Full humbucker
5) Bridge full humbucker

I've added a push pull switch which coil taps the middle and bridge humbucker
to get the other options.

Re: HHH 4 conductor wiring with 5 way switch.

How about just the 5 way(3PS1CGAE5) switch alone, how is it connected?

You mean if the 5 way switch alone is use all will be humbucker mode? like in
1) Neck full humbucker
2) Neck and middle Full humbucker
3) Middle Full humbucker
4) Bridge and middle Full humbucker
5) Bridge full humbucker

Re: HHH 4 conductor wiring with 5 way switch.

Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear
You cannot get what you want with just the 3PS1CGAE5
You CAN get
Just 5 way
1) Neck full humbucker
2) Neck and middle split humbucker
3) Middle Full humbucker
4) Bridge and middle Full humbucker
5) Bridge full humbucker

If you add a push pull volume or tone switch you can use that to get the other coil tap options

With Coil Tap:
1) Neck full humbucker
2) Neck and middle split humbucker
3) Middle split humbucker
4) Bridge and middle split humbucker
5) Bridge split humbucker

So by switching the two switches you can get what you want.
If you don't want the extra push pull, Just leave it out!

Re: HHH 4 conductor wiring with 5 way switch.

I have 3 HH and do only the first part (all humbucking).

I have a TZ/SD JB Jr/PAFPRO

The TZ and PAFPRO (I feel) are so loud that my 2 and 4 positions are almost the same as my 1 and 5.
