HSS Strat pickups

Is this good idea?
Air Classic bridge, Area 67 neck and middle?

According to dimarzios website the air classic has an output of 226 where the area 67's have an output of 120. Thats a pretty drastic difference. A lot of that can be compensated with pickup height, but personly i think the output is a little too far away. If the singles were more like 175 output that might be a bit better.

The air classic is a nice well rounded pickup for output and tone... where the area 67's are very bright according to the tone scale which is fine if that's what you are looking for. I mean, if it's going in an alder or ash body that may be a bit thin sounding.

Exactly. So if he were to use those, he may need to leave the humucker a little lower than he normally would.
