ISCV2 v HS2

So i ordered some Breeds for my RG, but was told by the guy who imports DiMarzio into New Zealand that they cant get the ICSV2 pickup..... so.... I went ahead and ordered a HS-2...... was told these are similar to the ISCV2?

Can anyone help ease my mind?.... will this HS2 do a similar job as the ISCV2?

Cheers Guys

Re: ISCV2 v HS2

Yes.....and no.
I have the HS-2 in several of my RGs and really like it.
I also like the ISCV2. They both have a nice single coil tone.
The HS-2 sounds like it has just a little more twang to it, while the ISCV2 sounds a bit warmer and flat.
In finding a good single coil to match up with the Breeds--I actually like the HS-2 better. In fact, I swapped out the middle pickup of my Breed equipped Jem 77VBK in favor of the HS-2.
I like the ISCV2 better with Evos, though.
All-in-all, that supplier glitch worked to your advantage in this case!

Cheers mate!..... do you have ur HS-2 fully wired in hum cancelling mode?..... also.... was thinking of putting Evos into another guitar, so what would you recommend in the middle since i cant get the ISCV2?

Cheers!

Re: ISCV2 v HS2

I have it wired for both.
The HS-3 sounds good with Evos. Also--the Chopper.

Re: ISCV2 v HS2

IMO the HS-3 is still probably the best single coil made.
