JS1000, want to replace FRED... EVO/EVO2/BREED etc ???

I have a JS1000 since 2006. Great guitar, but I think I want to try a different bridge pickup. The FRED is nice, but I want something different.

The FRED "screams". There's a lot of high end. It get's "ice-picky" at times. It just sounds very "sharp".

I want to try something thicker and punchier. A little smoother/compressed on the high end.

I'm thinking BREED, EVO, or EVO2. Maybe even D-SONIC....

Has anyone tried these pickups in a JS1000/1200 guitar?

If you find the FRED ice-picky, don't get near Evolutions. You could try a Breed bridge or a Breed neck. Both work great in the bridge in basswood.

I have just bought a set of See Dunc SH8.Pick and Green.

See how they go...something a bit different.
