Little Green Wire from pickups...where does it go?

Just wondering before I get all this started, I'm wiring up my pups again and need to know where the little green wire coming from the neck pickups main wire housing goes to? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

What guitar? What pickups? DiMarzios? Stock? Duncans?

Sorry, it skipped my mind to mention that (I'm an ameteur so bear with me). They came from an RG7-421 stock. They are wired parallel I think. But I'm guessing the wire is soldered to the volume pot. That's where I believe it was before. If not, help me before I make a mistake.

We need to know what color the other wires are and where they are connected..
My guess, and that's what it is until I know the other wire colors, is that it gets soldered to the volune pot like the DiMarzios. But that is just a guess at this point.

Ok the other wires are red, and black (which are connected to the 5-way switch). Then, the main wire from the pickup (housed in brown) was connected to the volume pot for sure.

Does this help any:

It's of a 7621 which uses real DiMarzio pickups, I'm not sure about your
7421. It's a bit before my time...I've only gotten back into playing in the
past few months...heh.

Ok guys, everything is wired back now. Everything sounds good except for one problem, when I put the 5-way switch in the 5th position(closest to neck), there is no sound. Any ideas? Bad wiring (probably)?

Without seeing it, I would have to say bad wiring, or you might have
overheated the pins on the switch and melted something.

I've not rewired any of my newer Ibanez guitars, so I don't know how
much plastic is in the switch that could get damaged from to much heat.

Just recheck all your wiring!

You can also make sure you have the correct pickup coils working by
flipping the 5 way switch and tapping on the pickup pole pieces with
an allen wrench.
