metal pickups in a JS guitar

so i want to do some dropped tunnings for playing metal but dont want to **** around with my jems. i have a js1000btb that i dont use much so i was thinking of putting some different picksups in for metal. anyone have an idea as to what pickups would be good and will it work(sound all right) in a js guitar.

I have an X2n in my Js-1. Sounds pretty heavy.

talked to guys at guitar shop and have ordered the Super Distortion for the js. not sure but i think i will have to buy thicker strings for downtunning drop c. am using 9-46s.
