my last dilemma, suggest

i have rg1550 with stock pickups, in neck there will go dimarzio paf pro , but for bridge i cant decide between:

mo joe
air norton
air zone
norton
breed

i want Paul gilbert - racerx sound for bridge, other than this i play megadeth mostly. That are my demands, can anyone advice me before shopping ?

super3.

the old pg stuff was super distortion/super2. the megadeth needs to be a bit meaner...the super3 is that pickup. next in line would just be a straight up super distortion.

Get a tone zone or Paf Pro. Gilbert uses both most all the time and both will pull of a megadeth tone. Mustain and Friedman use/used alnico hot paf type pups not that different from the above pups.

iam little afraid how would paf pro be in contrast with so high output pickup ?
i heard high output passives are 90% ceramic, and i know people prefeer alnico over ceramic , why is that ?

seems as an idea if those pickups rty13ibz98 suggested are too high output to pair with paf pro afterall.

What about AirZone bridge ?

Re: my last dilemma, suggest

I actually just put a Super3/Paf Pro combo in my old 550 and it sounds quite excellent and is actually very balanced in terms of output. It's my first Paf Pro and certainly will not be my last. Also, I have tried a Tone Zone in a basswood Ibanez and didn't particularly care for it, but opinions on that are pretty much all over the map, so who knows.

It is good but sounds nothing like Gilbert's tone which he was looking for.

Re: my last dilemma, suggest

i didnt go out to buy paf pro and tonezone today because i'm thinking about airzone ..... reviews all around say it has way more articulate sound and its more 'live' and organic comparing it to tonezone, and i want that... i dont worry about output so much coz i can get gain/distortion on pedals/rack/amp. Since its named airzone it should have very similar tone to tonezone also on dimarzio site even EQ is almost same

who says YAY for AZ ?
