neck pu in bridge position: any issue?

Hi,

is there any known issue in using a neck humbucker pickup in the bridge position? such as, strings and poles not perfectly aligned?

thanks

No real issues. Just depends if you like the tone or not.

Re: neck pu in bridge position: any issue?

string/pole alignment issues comes from using a f-spaced pickup where a regular-spaced pickup would be used or vice versa. Example: removing a Dimarzio Evo (bridge) from a Jem and installing it in the neck position of a Les Paul. But like LonePhantom said, it's not really an issue, unless it makes your ears bleed.

I don't think that EMGs differentiate at all between "neck" and "bridge" pickups. I wonder how much difference there really is with other brands.

I've tried a several Dimarzio neck pickups in the bridge position. They all sounded pretty awful to my ears except for the D-activator X which worked quit well.

What pickup(s) are you talking about, or just in general?
