Need advice on picking a neck pickup

I'm picking my first set of DiMarzio pickups, and have decided to go with the Super Distortion, but I don't know what neck pickup to choose. I was thinking of getting the D Activator Neck, but I've heard they're thin and boring high-output pickups.

I have maple body and neck, with an ebony fretboard. I'm using a Floyd Rose Original, and 25.5 scale length, with 24 frets. I'm looking for a bright high-output pickup that I can use for hard rock and classic metal (Ozzy, Metallica, Maiden, Judas Priest) solos, any advice?

My amp is a Peavey Vypyr Tube 60.

Thanks in advance!

humbucker from hell. It is bright, big, full, and very clear. On paper it looks like it would be shrill but it is very loud balanced and full.

I second this! A friend of mine just put on in his guitar with a paf pro in the bridge, what a wonderful sounding guitar.
