Need immediate help with wiring up an evolution into my dbk

Sorry, but I am in a big rush, I really need to get this done tonight, and I have never done this before. I am installing an evolution bridge in my dbk, and I need to know if the evo and breed are both the same color coding. Like, can I directly 1 by 1 replace each wire from the evo into the guitar, from the old breeds. I am having trouble explaining it, ask if you don't understand. Thanks.

I have unsoldered all the wires from the breed bridge, and I noticed that the bare wires from the bridge and the neck pickups were wrapped together, and then soldered onto the volume pot. Should I wrap the bare wire from the evo with the neck pickup too, or can I just solder them together?

The colors are the same unless Dimarzio made a mistake. The bare wire is to ground and it doesn't matter where you connect to ground, whether you connect it with the other bare wire or straight to that pot or to a different pot for that matter. So long as it connects to ground. Good luck!

Where does that wire that is connected to the screw on the body under the bridge pickup go?? I found that it was not connected to anything. Can I just solder it to the volume pot?

That's the ground wire to the springs (and bridge and strings). It helps keep that funky noise away when you let go of the strings.

HOLY CRAP!! I actually did it! I was so nervous when I first plugged it in, I really didn't believe it was going to work. But then I turned the amp on, there was no buzz or nothin, and then I just started playin it, and it was sweet feelin. Oh ya, Evo's and Breeds mix so well too, You can go from a cut through solo sound to a nice rythym sound. It is sweet. I can't say enough about the Evolution bridge, it is just awesome. And now I have a Breed to sell. how much you think I can get for it?

Keep it...

If you ever sell the guitar, it's worth more with the original pup... It's a shame when originals get separated...
