New pickups for RGR421

So, I got this guitar and I really like the way it plays. Just don't like the pickups. They're weak. It's got those "designed by EMG" ones.

I really like the Paf Pro's I've got on my 77FP and would like to get that kind of sound from the new pickups. I was offered a Super Distortion and 36th Paf Pro. Would that do the trick?

Or what would you recommend?

What do you want from the guitar, what styles do you play, and what are you playing it through? Need that sort of info first, as listed in the sticky at the top of the sub-forum. Then we can really nut out what might work for you.

Ah, sorry. I usually play heavier stuff. From Vai-ish to thrash metal. I play through a Boss GT-8 straight to speakers. I've a Randall 100w amp, but never use it though.

Drop some Dominions in and call it a day. Crazy tight low end, singing mids super fast response.
