New Vai Pickups!

Yes--I just got these in the mail yesterday. I installed them in my RG620x that will soon be transformed into the PacMan guitar.
While were waiting for the reviews to be published, I wanted to share these beats with you all.
They are very thick, and almost sound like my guitar is double tracked--a very nice feature!

Oh....and I have no idea when these will be available, but I'll ask Larry on Monday.

Re: New Vai Pickups!

Cool! is it possible if you could share naked tracks? (just directly plug guitar to recording machine, so we can send signal to our own amps to truly understand their characters)

Re: New Vai Pickups!

You should put a bridge pickup in the neck and wire it backwards

Re: New Vai Pickups!

Where have I been? I haven't even heard of these things yet. How do they compare, in your opinion, with Vai's other pickups?

Nobody's heard of these yet...

I like them better than any other set!
Great natural grind.

Re: New Vai Pickups!

I wonder if these will be stock on next years JEM. I like the sound of the original EVOs better. I would really like to hear the Gravitys through a tube amp (Legacy). They sound processed through the solid state amp. Good but not tube driven.

Yes--I'll be recording them through a tube amp this weekend.
These are so thick--they sound like I double-tracked the recording.
