Ok, what did I do wrong? :)

I've just bought a Dimarzio Breed from ebay, and have installed it.

Earlier in the day I printed a load of diagrams from the dimarzio site, from the ibanez site and of course, from jemsite
All these diagrams have just confused me though, and I think I've done *something* wrong!

Before swapping the pickup, I made some recordings with the stock INF2, and when comparing them to recording made with the breed, there's hardly any difference.
Should the differences be more obvious or is it just that I'm a)rushing, b)deaf, c)losing detail by recording through a pod
Also, when the pickup selector is in position 2, it sounds very trebly with no bottom end at all (almost like a telephone effect)

Anyway! This is what I did - huge thanks to anyone that points me in the right direction!

Red wire-> first connector on switch
Green & Bare -> body of volume pot
Black & White -> 6th connector on switch

By the way, this is an RG470.

I'm taking a guess that it's a phase thing and I should swap the red & green wires around (as I read somewhere..)... but anyway.. I'll shut up now

Yep I found something on Dimarzio.com that mentioned that. It sounds *much* better now!
Thanks

Blimey, what an embarrassing first post - In one post I've admitted to not being able to wire a pickup, not hearing much of a difference, and owning a korean RG with a LO-TRS II. And you haven't even heard how bad my playing is yet!

I don't know how to wire pickups : ) I say some pretty stupid things... probably hundreds of times worse than anything you or anyone else could ever come up with, and they still haven't killed me yet...

Welcome to the forum

Heheh were you bidding on the Breed? Sorry I was being a bit evil and put a last minute bid in. I feel a bit bad about that now

I'm in Berkshire, near Windsor (Ok, I admit it, I'm in Slough).
