Since Satch´s using the Pearly Gates instead of the PAF Pro in some of his Chrome Boys, I guess the new PAF Joe is more like the Pearly due to the output and treble frequencies. Am I wrong?

Joe used PG's on one guitar, aptly name, Pearly [since stolen].

All Joe said was the JOE had a more tubular quality to it to better match the FRED.

Check out the new G3 DVD. I love his tone on it. He plays the new JS1200 thru modded XXX's (?).

Blucher (Dimarzio) says the PAF Joe is focused more on the mids, less bass and treble, giving it that tubular tone as Rich mentioned Joe mentioned.

I love the tone of the Fred pickups, just when you start runnin the gain up that nasely -aaahhwww- sound comes out much more. Like in the G3 vid, that tone is nice and huge I love it...but just a smidge too much mids IMO. Doesn't matter, some good eq'ing can get some of that out.
