PAF pro with Ceramic mag from V7?

Anyone tried to use a mag from the V7 in the PAF pro for more output? If so, what did it sound like? Too much treble or too bright? I'm thinking it should at least give it a tad bit of boost, but I don't know enough about the magnets to know if this is true..?
I don't want the spike in treble though.. I love the PAF pro in an LP type guitar and I have had it in a RG and it sounded great I thought. Not too bright, but that awe sound I love that is described on the Dimarzio site. I think it's the perfect description.
I'm just thinking that the magnet change might give it a little more output but I don't want or need more clarity in that pup..
Thanks
Tim

It was the first magnet swap I tried. It gets the PAF Pro close to an Evo, but it's a lot more shrill. Unless your guitar is super muddy (and the guitar I tried it in was pretty muddy) it'll be too much high end. Go with the ceramic in the V8, honestly, it's the best option in the bridge. Stop questioning it and go for it!

Thanks Lone, I'm going to try it man.. Wonder what the Duncan Distortion mag would do in the V8? It's ceramic!

It's a thicker one from memory, it won't fit properly without separating the bobbins. I made that mistake with my PAF Pro once. Easy to fix up, but if you're not careful I guess you could do some damage.
