Paf Pro's height in PGM300

right now it is Paf Pro neck (2/4) Jem single mid (1/4) Paf Pro bridge (3/4)
I think Paul Gilbert set it this way too? I paused a video of Paul and found out he set his pickups about the same height. I am not sure.
I want to know how you guys set the height of the pickups? especially the Paf Pro's.

well,
i go by ear: i set the bridge pickup very close to the strings and begin strumming the guitar with clean sound (the sound is crunchy, actually).
then i move the pickup away from the strings till the sound gets very clean and gets rid of any crunch.

then i set the other pickups so that their volume gets balanced with the bridge pickup's.

the most time they turn out to be set exactly as you described.

My PGM300 is a 2003 model. comes with an Edge Pro
it says the bridge pickup is a Paf Pro on the Japanese Ibanez website
the US Ibanez website doesn't even have the PGM300 on it

And it should have 1 row of flathead screw poles and 1 row of non adjustable poles, while the neck has the typical 2 rows of Allen adjustable poles.

Tone Zone

Ibanezer,
your PGM has INF pickups, not DiMarzios.

according to ibanez.com:

INF1 neck
INFS1 middle
INF2 bridge

Do all the PGM300 supposed to come with 2 Paf Pro's??
I've read some reviews and every PGM300 comes with 2 Paf Pro's.
http://www.harmony-central.com/Guita...PGM300-01.html
i've never seen a PGM300 comes with TZ in the bridge... may be someone replaced the Paf Pro with TZ? or it's the US version?
I would like to see one with TZ in the bridge

unless Ibanez wrongly sent the guitar to your dealer instead of sending it to Paul himself...

I have 2 and they both have a TZ, so does my 100.

I adjust the pup height to my own liking.
