Pickup combos

I'm looking at replacing the stock V7/S1/V8 to liquifire and super distortion. Does anyone use this combo and what would be a good complement for the single.

How about something from the Seymour Duncan line? pegaus, black winter, full shred, custom, custom 5, nazgul?

Re: Pickup combos

I had a Super Distortion in an RG, sounded great. The Tone Zone is probably the most popular one around here. Of course a lot of folks here use the Evolution. Another one I like that's less popular is the Super 3. Hard to go wrong with any of them.

Re: Pickup combos

Thanks. I'll be replacing the stock powersounds so I don't think I could go wrong.

I really dig my V7/S1/V8 in my RG550. What do you not like about them?

Re: Pickup combos

They are really the only pickup I've heard beyond the PAF7 and PSND. Just want to try out different ones. I'm looking at using the 220B as a test subject to figure out what I like. I keep changing my mind so I never seem to get anywhere.
