Pickup sounds thin?

Alright so i installed a Tone Zone in the bridge of my guitar (Ibanez RG550) and it seems to sound thin, isnt it ment to be bassy? and middy? its more of trebley, did i wire it wrong? maybe someone could link me to a diagram on how its men to be wired, i tried the dimarzio one , but that one seems a bit complicated and the 5 way switch looks different =S

Help!

Re: Pickup sounds thin?

Re: Pickup sounds thin?

hey Sbob...
I did some soldering action with new Dimarzio's yesterday on my 550DX... I followed this diagram:

Before I did that, I checked the sticker on the switch (which was a YM50)...
kinda odd though that the first time I wired it, the neck position was the bridge and the bridge position was the neck. A simple 5-minute swap did the trick...
however to answer your question:
A TZ's EQ is very bassy; it sounds like you have one of the wires out-of-phase. Make sure the green/bare are connected and black/white wires connected. Hope that helps.
