Pickup wiring question

I am going to be wiring dimarzio humbuckers with a 3 way switch. I am looking at the following wiring diagram....
http://dimarzio.com/sites/default/fi...h1v_3w_all.pdf

the guitar i'm going to be wiring currently has 2 dimarzios in it, so the wire colors should align with the new pickups i'm going to put in. When i went to change the pickups I noticed the existing pickups were connected to the switch in a consistent way as the diagram shows, but the colors didn't match the above diagram. The guitar currently has the white wire connected to the switch (where the diagram shows red connected to the switch), black connected to the volume pot (where the diagram has green) and red and green soldered together (where the diagram has black and white soldered together). Based on some reading i did on the dimarzio site I'm thinking despite the fact that the colors don't match, wiring it these two different ways achieves the same result. Am I correct?

Thanks,
Paul

Re: Pickup wiring question

Yeah, it's the same. If it's wired inside out like that, it only means that the other coil will be disabled (outside coil) if coil tapped. Normally, the inside coil is disabled.
