I'm getting an Alder bodied Washburn WG587 ($100!! How can you pass that up?) and while the pickups can stay for now, I'll need to upgrade Eventually. So here's a bit of info for you.
I play death metal.
I tune to Drop A (.10-.46 with a low .70)
I'm currently without an amp but I assure you, my next will be your standard High gain amp. Probably a B-52 AT100
I need it to sound fat and chunky while still having lots of clarity
The guitar is:
TOM Style bridge (with tailpiece like a Les Paul but I will be making it a string-thru)
I would really appreciate a bridge and neck combo but if you only know of the perfect pickup for the neck (for example) them please, share. I'm delighted to hear
And I would PREFER DiMarzio's but I'm open to Duncan's and can't afford BKP's.
Sorry for the stupid questions but I've NEVER owned an alder guitar before. Let alone an Alder 7 string.
And I know you're going to say "Use the pickup picker!" but I did and the only options I got were 6 string only pickups.
