problems with wiring

I got a Super Distortion that I'm trying to wire up to my guitar. I've wired it as it says on the diagram from dimarzio.com and everything works correctly except for the bridge position selector. It makes it so I have the bridge coils on fully and the top of the neck coil on as well. any ideas on what the problem could be?

Re: problems with wiring

There's no way we can know without seeing how you wired it. Can you provide the wiring diagram you used and a picture of what you've done?

I am going to clean up that huge puddle as soon as I can buy some solder wick... only radio shack sells it around here and they close super early. to the right I have neck, bridge, middle grounds wrapped together and soldered there. middle black wire is going to the body ground behind the pickguard. left is jack ground, ground from the pot? and ground from jack coming there.

left to right:

red from neck, black from middle, red from bridge, black to volume post, open spot, black and white from neck, black to ground, black and white from bridge.

used this wiring diagram.

Re: problems with wiring

after cleaning my mess up, I found the issue. There was a bit of solder connecting the open spot on the switch to the red from the bridge. Now that's gone, everything works fine. Really liking the SD more than TZ so far.
