PUPs to replace wolfgangs?

I took out the wolfgang set(which are for sale in the jemsite classifieds http://www.jemsite.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=22708) from my U.S.A wolfgang ,and put in a JB and 59,this is still not quite what i want. the JB is very upper middy and pretty close to the wolfgang i took out? the 59 is not fat enough?
what set is good for a wolfgang, that keeps a traditional classic tone with more output? PAF pro's? duncan custom-custom/alnico II pro neck?

Why would you take the Wolfie-Pups out?? They rock!

Yeah, yeah, it all comes down to personal preference... :P

If you really want the best PAF type pickups, sweet, full, harmonic. Its hard to beat the Duncan EVH (evenly voiced harmonic). It is modeled directly after EVH's pickup from the first albums (Im assuming your an EVH guy). It is very expensive. Its from the custom shop and is the only Duncan I like. Its really just a strict PAF clone wound a bit hotter. You dont have to be into EVH to love this pickup. Hell all it is is a great, full sounding PAF.

This pickup makes such a huge difference most people would probably crap themselves. Most people cant get past the price or the association with EVH though.

air norton and tone zone!!! that was what the old EBMM used. plus its what i use. aside from that, it is a killer combo. i like your thought of the alnico II, but i(personally) would go duncan custom. more agressive than the JB and with better low end. the custom custom is like a alnico'd custom anyway. more mids and more buttery as the site says. i personally have never used a custom custom, but the custom is super bad ass. but to replace an EVH axe, i would go with the AN, TZ rig. go for some F*U*C*K and balance tones.
