putting a duncan jb in a rg 1570

would like to put a jb trembucker in , and swap out the v8, from 2004ish so it looks like id take the ibz red and switch that with the sd black on pole 1, then take ibz white on pole 6 switch that with sd red. then factory a ground from the ibz bridge pickup is soldered to a tab on the volume pot with the output jack on the same tab. can i just solder green and bare and this other wire to the pot or does it have to be on the tab? wires to the back of the volume pot? i wanna keep the exact same hsh 5 way setup. so the sd says to tape red and white together but that only applies if its a 2 pickup setup right? it seems i would use all but the white then tape that off. would that be right? thanks guys

I've advised you how to to it back on the Seymour Duncan forum.

You haven't got the guitar yet, so wait until you have it. You'll understand what needs to be done when you are looking at the wiring.

I don't know why you need to be skeptical, I've advised you how to do it. I've done it myself, as have many others. Details I gave you on SD forum work.

what you said should be right. so no taping off like sd says right? i had a rg350 before that 1 outa the 5 on the switch didnt work i think the middle/ bridge setting (of course on that guitar it was a pita to go back and fix something edge 3 and 10 pick guard screws and no slack to work with so i left it

You can tape it off if you want, but it won't give you the setup exactly like the Ibanez. I'm not sure why you aren't accepting the advice. Like I said, I've done it before, so have many others. It works. You'll see when you get the guitar in your hands.
