Quick D-Sonic/D-Sonic 7 question

I just ordered a D-Sonic 7 for my RG7620 but I need some help jogging my memory with something.

I know that reversing the pickup has an effect but I forgot what that effect is.

So can someone tell me the tonal difference between the bar facing the bridge and the bar facing the neck?

Thanks a ton!
-Damien

Bar towards the bridge results in a brighter tone.

Thank you!

So I assume that bar facing the neck is deeper and punchier?

Specifically punchier. Because that's mainly what I'm looking for.

It's very smooth, vocal sounding and solo oriented when the bar is facing the neck.

It sounds more powerful the other way around IMO, but it's way too trebly and ear piercing. A Crunch Lab would suit your taste better.

I hate the Crunchlab. A lot haha. But I loved the DS-7. I'll probably just have the bar facing the neck.

You sure? I punched my friend in the mouth for putting one in his RG7321 once . Then punched him again for keeping it!

I wish they made a Megadrive 7. . . . . I'd have never even considered the D-Sonic 7. But I can't afford the custom route.

If you get a chance, try the D-Activator.

I have and loved it! But I wanted something with lower output for better clarity. And a bit darker. Might get the D-Activator neck for the neck pickup since it has a bit more treble.
