rg1570 direct mounting?

How do these come mounted? are vthey woodscrews with springs in it? is there foam undernunderneath? replaceing with a jb do i use the factory springs and screws?

Just replaced the pups in my 08 1570 with a set of Gravity Storms (great pups!) and they were direct mount, w/wood screws and foam underneath. I used the screws that came with the guitar.

No, no springs, as Jimmy said, screws with foam underneath. The foam does the job that the springs do in a pickguard/pickup ring equipped guitar.

is there a certain size to make the foam or doesnt really matter?

You should be able to use the foam that' with the guitar.
