Seymour duncan no F space designation?

How come SD pickups have no F space designation yet Dimarzio does??

They do. They're "tb" version instead of "sh". Eg. tb-5 instead of sh-5 for the Duncan Custom.

Yep, as above, TB stands for 'TremBucker', which is their F-spaced range.

Be aware that their trembucker models are a fraction wider too. SD provide you with a pickup ring to suit when you buy them.

I have a TB-4 in my 540P and it works fine in the standard Ibanez ring. Looking at it, it fits in there a bit tighter, but it fits.

Yeah, they can squeeze, but it's not always the most comfortable fit. You can have problems with pickguards sometimes and you need to sand out the guard a little to fit them. That's when it's a real pain. In saying that it was an aftermarket eBay guard I experienced that with. It may not be an issue with a factory spec one.
