Single Coil S1 vs Dimarzio/Ibz RG-S

I'm wondering if someone have and experience with this two single coils pickups, mainly in 2 and 4 position of the 5-way switch (mixed with the humbucker in coil splited mode). Which should be better to get this strati "quack" sound?

From what I've read here

DiMarzio IBZ pickups | Ibanez Wiki | FANDOM powered by Wikia

Vintage (V & S) pickups | Ibanez Wiki | FANDOM powered by Wikia

S1 is alnico V and IBZ-RG-S ceramic.

Acording to dimarzio IBZ-RG-S

DiMarzio®/IBZ pickups | DiMarzio
"The R1 single-coil is warmer-sounding than a typical vintage single-coil, and was designed to work well with the neck and bridge humbuckers when they are in split mode. It has a sound similar to that of the HS-2™ in split-coil mode."
And ibanez wikia from S1 says:
"Traditional sounding, yet high output single coil with Alnico 5 polepieces for even string output. Designed to work with humbuckers in the split position."

Re: Single Coil S1 vs Dimarzio/Ibz RG-S

S1 is pretty basic and mostly reverse wound for being in that middle position... it is not staggered like most "strat pickups" so it sounds pretty even accross the fret board... not sure i'd call it quacky but a little tone adjustment might help with that i have them in quite a few guitars matched up with dimarzio's, etc and they sounds great

"this is my opinion" i don't like stacked single coils in the middle because because they don't mix very well with a tapped humbucker you end up with something that sounds very tele in the 2 and 4 position (well.... unless you wire them backwards and i still don't like the way they sound)

sorry i do not have experience with the IBZ

hope that helps
