AN-TZ Alternate wirings?

On my rg3120 I noticed I almost never use 2. and 4. positions.

Usually shred, I also like the fat/dark clean tone of the Air Norton neck I get.

I looked at the dimarzio site and noticed inside coils (of tonezone in my case) can work with the neck humbucker (Air Norton). I thought maybe I can achieve nice clean sounds unlike single coil or with a gain drop.

Sounds you might just want to simplify things with a 3 way switch and wire TZ series - TZ/AN split - AN series.

You might like the RG520 wiring scheme.

Agreed one of my favorite 2 humbucker wiring schemes... all 5 positions are usable

also do a search for one called "humbucker lovers wiring" it promises a lot of goodthings

Actually yes if it were a 3 way switch I guess I'd be happy enough but it doesn't both me that its 5, I guess I got used to it in time. I thought why not experiment with the leftover positions )

Looks cool, my AN poles (screw ones :P ) look to the neck and TZ looks to the bridge. I'm guessing its the same with the diagram you shared?

I think that just depends on how you have the pickup oriented. Unless I'm hugely mistaken, the coil with the screws usually points neckward for the TZ and AN, so you're TZ might be in backwards.
