Using an on-on-on mini toggle as a 3-way switch

I made a diagram of what I'm going to be doing, kind of crude sorry. The switching is between an 89 and an SA

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

The original diagram I modified had a ground running to the 3 way switch, should I just ground the casing of the mini switch or is it not needed? I've looked up a couple diagram's for using a mini switch as a 3-way and none said it had to be grounded. Thanks for any help

Switches don't need to be grounded, as they are just the middle-men of the circuit--the circuit gets grounded.

It usually gets grounded by being in contact with shielding foil or paint. It's good to have as many metal parts grounded as possible because they shield from noise. In this case, it probably doesn't make any difference
