I know, I was looking forward to it cos i dig the SA series, but list of $1800 is a joke. It seems like the multi-radius neck added a lot to the price...

I know - it's up there with friggin Jem's and more expensive than the JS series! IMO this is a disgusting price to pay for this guitar. I'd be 'happier' if it was more around the $800 mark.

Jesus - even my Brian Moore i2000 was cheaper and that was a mahogany body with quilted maple top, bound body and fretboard, abalone dots, Seymour pups etc:/

Yes, but the i2000 is still made in Korea, isn't it?

My guess is that some of the higher prices we're seeing on imported guitars comes as a result of the weak American dollar.

Isn't it built in Korea and assembled in America? Something like that.
Even so - cripes at the price
I really wanted one of them too - but for a few hundred bucks more i can get a PGM10th off Rich!

True, but that diesn't change the fact that JS1000 lists for $300 less, so do the DBK and RG3120 and they are all guitars with much more features than the relatively "plain" AT...

So Rich, you have the list of this stuff, is there an RG (or anything for that matter) that has a maple board? It dissapoints me that they killed off the 1550. Oh yeah, and did you ever stock any of those RG1550SA's? I never saw them over here, just on the Ibanez UK website.

"The OLP/John Petrucci model guitar offers a beveled, Silhouette®-style body design with a special contoured armrest; a Red Pearl Burst finish with paint-to-match headstock; two Humbucking pickups; a nonlocking tremolo unit; a Maple neck with an extra-flat radius Rosewood fingerboard; the trademarked "4+2" Music Man headstock design; and Petrucci's preferred volume, tone and pickup switching layout."

OLP are also bringing out a Benji Madden (Good Charlotte) signature (its basically a Sillhouette with features like the Blink 182 strat).
There's also new colours for the Axis copy.

And somethin that looks awesome. Axis style electro acoustics too.

Well i'm guessing it'll look pretty much the same as the EB. but OLP's tend to have a slightly smaller headstock.
And price.. well Axis copy is £219.95 RRP. so i'd guess somewhere around £250 for the Petrucci model.
