Holy Throwback Thursday Batman!!!!
This thread is as old as your son, Jim!
(Sweet axe btw!)

Mine is the RG550 20th Road Flare. I don't know if that technically counts as a Prestige.

I most adore the RGA121's. I've owned three thus far, but I only have one at the moment. I'll post pics when I have more posts

For a well rounded set of RGs I'd love to get my hands on an RG20064 TBF and an RG8571 BX

(I'll happily swap my RG8570Z BX for an RG8571 BX...)

There were supposedly 15 made but I was only able to find pictures of 4-5, including official Ibanez shots. I'm not sure where the 15 number comes from, but a typical special run of JC's is six guitars. There's one in Rich's used sold history and there's another one a member here has that has a different JC neck on it. If you do a search for this guitar, you may come across Mae Guitars. The guy I bought it from bought it from there. I've never seen another one for sale.

It would obviously make it a lot easier to work with if you were only using it as a decorative top.

I am trying to buy an rg body that is one solid piece of spalted maple and is really nice.

Apparently it's a bitch to seal before it's finished. it sucks up epoxy like mad.

My favorite is the RG-PR1... The natural flamed Maple is teh wants...

Wish I had the scratch for this. Although I do already have the wood I would need to build one

Yes, spalted maple. That's what the "S" in RG8620S means.

Here's a couple closeups of the body.

I actually sold that guitar over the summer. It was just in too nice of condition and worth too much money to play it. Ended up turning a tidy little profit on it.
