Re: jammed on an rg927 today...
The 920/921s have necks that are quite a bit more substantial than a wizard. It is my new favorite.
My 921 was visually perfect except for a small white dot near the tuners. The nut was screwed and the 22 and 23rd frets weren't fully seated on the bass side.
a half hour of work ( had to radius and lower the nut, wack the frets down with a block of wood and hammer) and it is one sweet playing guitar.
Easily the equal of my carvin and my warmoth ( pro setup). It is light years better than my made in japan rg520qs ever was. Even when it was new.
i was impressed to say the least. Mine was a factory 2nd too.

jammed on an rg927 today...
The guitar looked stunning! An amazing quilt, nice finish, some flaws on the binding, but other then that, perfect!
That said, this guitar while looking great, played like crap, the pickups were horribly balanced (super high out trebly bridge connected with quite possibly the worst neck pickup I've ever heard). The neck was HUGE. Felt like a 50s telecaster boat neck. The fret finish was nice though. I don't understand why the neck is so thick on these things! Didn't care for the bridge either.
Is this one just an oddball, or are they made to be like that? I want to enjoy these premiums so badly, but they've all seemed to fall short pretty badly
