At the risk of being redundant, I'll answer your question here the same as I did on the Petrucci forum.

Go with the AN7/BB (Blaze Bridge) combo. It's what I use on my 2027, and it sounds great. You'll almost certainly be satisfied, esp. if you like the AN/SS in a 2020.

DiMarzios for a RG2027 (mahogany)?

I'm about to change my stock pups in my mahogany body rg2027 7-string. I have an Air Norton/Steve's Special combo in my rg2020 (mahogany too), and I'm pretty happy with it. I decided for an Air Norton in the neck of my 2027, but I'm not sure about the bridge. I would go with a Blaze (SS 7-string version), but I am opened to other options. Any clue?
I play mainly high-gain progressive metal stuff.
