The trem block is the thing that holds the springs, the other thing is called trem plate.
Aslo if you look on the side of the trem plate you will see the Knife inserts - thry should be at 90 to the posts.

RG 570 Tremblock setting

when setting the tremblock it says in the manual that the block should be parrallel with the body. What part should be parrallel? I have the FLoydd Rose block and it appearrs to be leaning towards the fingerboard but the actual blocks retaining the strings are parrallel to the body. There are lots of angles on the block so just saying parrallel is a bit confusing. It is to a newbie like me anyway.

Any advice guys?
