Flobanez
S 7420 stock pickups.

Is it me or (actually my friend has one too and likes his too) do these stock pickups in the S 7420 sound great?

I know they are V7 (7) and V8 (7) pickups but the neck anyway sounds great.
The bridge well, it performs good for rock, blues, jazz and metal.
Maybe it's the Mahogany body. I just found no reason to replace them.

I like DiMarzio Blazes. That's what I have in my UV and 7620.

Remarkably, these stock pickups sound decent. Especially the neck pickup.
How is this so? Seeing how the 6 string versions of the V pickups aren't great at all. These however are pretty good.
Anybody agree?
