I changed the knobs to the knurled gold with a darker grey pearl - sets it off a little to me.
I plan to change my EVO to the EVOII and eventually change the hardware from gold to ????
The EVO bridge is a lil' hot and after installing the EVOII in my new RG mutt creation (pics will be in modded RG thread shortly) I love 'em. Once I do that, Elvis will be perfect for me. I couldn't add anything that would make me love it anymore than I do - having considered a sustainer - possibly??? hmmm?

i like the look but would put bobbin toppers on the "inside" half of the humbuckers in blue to offset the white/blue look you have going on here - nice.

Again, difference of opinion. It's what makes us human. I happen to loathe the sound of the Evo bridge and i have a valve amp. Needed something heavier. To each his own. Keep that in mind. If we all shared the same stance on every issue, how entertaining would life be?

OK I took a better picture of my VWH so you can see the knobs better. I really like them because not only does the gold match the rest of the hardware, but the Mother Of Pearl middle matches the vine Mother Of Pearl too.

I need to find one that fits perfectly.

Nice G-man I like it! And the Brmr too. I wonder if I'll get mine at least in time for my 80th B-day With the switch tip, mine was loose too. In fact I tried several and they were all loose. What I did was put a little resin (I used JB Weld) in the hole and put it back on to dry. Then when it dries, just pull it back off and there you go. The resin works kind of like a mold and takes the form of the switch end in the hole and now it Fits snug every time

Looks pretty sweet too. I'm kinda torn between the silver and the gold.

Maybe I'll get another vwh so I can have one of each

Like DiMarzio.... why not make knobs to match every color ava. on their pickup bobbins? They would probibaly sell a set with every set of colored pickups sold.
+1

thatd be sweet, dimarzio colored knobs are great, whereas Ibanez white based look like crap...

Re: Your JEM7vwh mods & why

Seems like most of the aftermarket parts have some drawback. You'd think one manufacturer would make parts in a bunch colors and sizes to fit the JEM's. I bet they fit a standard 5 way switch fine, but not the VLX91 switch. Like DiMarzio.... why not make knobs to match every color ava. on their pickup bobbins? They would probibaly sell a set with every set of colored pickups sold.

Re: Your JEM7vwh mods & why

When I first got my JEM and decided to remove and store the gold..... chrome was my first choice until I tried to locate all the hardware. Rich had some but was out of other. I think he has the biggest selection of parts though and carries things you just can't find elsewhere. Anyway, I saw a prestige with the powder cosmo and bam... it all just fell together. Found most on the evilbay. Got lucky and didn't get ripped off!
