I would say something from the S family, especially if you're a Fender guy. Or maybey the SAS.

Of course you said "non-prestige," but I thought about it and my best answer would be the lowest-priced Prestiges like the RG1570. My 20th Anniversary RG ($900) is --- well, I compare it to a JEM and I like it better--- but my point is that it's half the price of some other nice Fujigen guitars.

The new SZRs and lower-end Artists are also nice for the money.

EDIT: My Highway One Strat is a good value, too.

What is the best quality non-prestige SB Ibanez

Just wondering what the best regarded current production model Ibanez is around here (excluding Prestige and Semi Hollow / Hollow body guitars).

I'm mostly a Fender guy - just trying to get a feel for what the best values are. For example, the MIM Fender Jimmie Vaughn Strat is regarded by many Fender owners as a great bang for the buck Fender model.

Thanks for your input!
