Re: what kind of picks do you use?

I've been using Jim Dunlop Gel picks for many years now. I prefer the heavy gauge (the red ones), but the medium gauge (the purple ones) is pretty good too. I think these picks offer a balanced, consistent tone that is well-suited for either electric or acoustic playing. They are comfortable to use and they last a really long time. I've never had one crack or break on me. They maintain their shape very well, bending only a little bit over time to fit the contours of your fingers. You can get a pack of 12 for $3.99 at Guitar Center. I would recommend them to anyone who is dissatisfied with their current choice of guitar picks.

Re: what kind of picks do you use?

I use plenty of picks but my favourites are Jim Dunlop 1.38mm Jazz III and Stubby 1mm - mostly because of their small size, they fit perfectly in my small fingers :P. I'm playing some nylon picks or standard Ibanez/Dunlop medium picks too.

Re: what kind of picks do you use?

dunlop tortex 50mm, for some reason thin picks seem to work for me going on 10 years now, but almost everybody else I know likes thick picks like the green tortex, and heck Im a chug a chug metal head

Re: what kind of picks do you use?

Currently using Dunlop 2mm Big Stubbies, but that's mostly because I got sent some through about a year a go by mistake. Tried them out a few months ago as they were just laying around, and found I really liked them.

Before that, it was V-Pick Stilettos - got flipping expensive dropping them, particularly as they're clear, so once they leave your hand, you never see them again.

Re: what kind of picks do you use?

I started using Kelly Simonz Signature picks last month. They are really easy to use and very comfortable.

For those of you who dont know who Kelly Simonz is:

He's like the Japanese Yngwie (can play Far beyond the sun just as good as Yngwie too lol). He was at NAMM this year as well.

Anyway, his signature pics are only sold at 1 store here in Japan, Aikyoku (which is based here in Nagoya )
