Knightmeir I got my Jem 7VWH from ebay for $1,400 with an Ibanez case. Wasn't a UV case though, but at least I got the case free. Guitar is brand new mint, and so is the case. Played great out of the box.
I bought the UV case from musicians friend for around $130 and I'm using the regular ibanez case for my 7DBK now.

pikapikapi how much did everyone here buy thier jem for???

mike777 Things are defintely coming around it seems. My 7VSBL had the best set up and fret job I've ever seen straight out of the box ever on any Ibanez. This is good.

Frankie I agree with caprile, high frets are unnacceptable on a new guitar...

just got a brand new 3120 about a month ago .... factory setup was ok, the only thing i needed to do was to tighten the nut and lower the action - the rest was ok

caprile that's really good news, altough i didn't mean frets by 'bad setup', to me bad frets are simply unacceptable.

Rich Actually from what I've seen the setups are getting better, still a little spotty though. I just filed some high frets on a 2120 last week, that kind of thing should never get through, but does.
07-23-2002 01:41 AM
caprile let me add, what you'd pay for a setup is more than the 'hair'

ANY ibanez has horrible setup from factory. be it prestige or GIO.

pikapikapi shipping is free too
07-23-2002 01:38 AM
Rich Then it's just a hair better than my deal
07-23-2002 01:35 AM
pikapikapi i already checked your website rich, i'm getting this from a factory brand new.

BrianH It is possible to get this sort of deal on a new jem like this. I know a guy who would do it for me, or about anyone really, however I don't buy from him because if something were wrong with the guitar(such as trem needed fileing) he wouldn't bother with it, no warranty really. But he is straight up, just for the deals he won't go any extra mile for you at all.

So I do buisness with Rich who gives great prices for new gear.

pikapikapi yes the uv1000, what do you mean yours are higher?
07-23-2002 01:28 AM
Rich UV1000? Or just case? If so you can't get any cheaper, like I said, just make sure it's perfect. Mine are just slightly higher.
