Awesome! Lemmie know what you think of the YJM pickups! I haven't tried them out myself yet but I'm thinking of putting some in my '62 Reissue Strat.

NGD 2012 YJM Stratocaster

So 6 years after trading my 1989 YJM stratocaster I got the itch again for a new one. I bought the 89 new and played the tits off it for 15 years, then stupidly traded in my baby.

Today I picked up this new 2012 Seymour Duncan equiped YJM USA Stratocaster. I couldn't live without one. Somthing different this time is that I got the rosewood version. A bit classier IMO.

After a good set up it felt like I pulled on an old pair of shoes. The volume knob is just in the perfect position. I was a little worried about neck thickness as my 540P and 540S have the thinnest wizard profile and I'm used to them, but as it turns out the neck is surprisingly normal. Fenders modern C shape is quite thin for a strat neck.

I'm in heaven again. As ive always used dimarzio clip lock I will be changing this factory Fender/Dunlop locking strap to the clip lock cheeter.
